This site was lovingly crafted using valid XHTML Strict and CSS as defined by the W3C. It was designed in Adobe Photoshop, hand–coded using a great piece of software called BBEdit and is served to you by those lovely people at Haisoft.
Site statistics are provided by Google Analytics, so I can see who's been visiting, what they've been looking at, how long they stuck around for, and what colour socks they were wearing at the time.
The site uses Lightbox to display the screenshots on the home page. You should be able to still view the site if you’re browsing with Javascript disabled, but if you come across any problems, please get in touch and let me know so I can fix things.
PHP was used for several areas of the site, including validating and handling the contact form, updating the year in the copyright statement at the bottom of the page (meaning I don't have to remember to do it every year!) and being used to "include" common elements of the site.
Font sizes have been set in relative sizes (instead of fixed sizes, such as pixels), meaning you can resize the text in any browser, in order to make it easier to read.
All images which are relevant to the content have been given a meaningful "Alt" attribute in order to assist those people using text–only browsers or screen readers. Any images which are purely decorative have an empty "Alt" attribute.
The site has been tested on both Mac and PC and in a range of browsers, including Internet Explorer (versions 6, 7 & 8), Firefox (2 & 3), Safari, Flock, Opera, Camino and Lynx (a text only browser).
Each page has a link at the top enabling those visitors browsing with assistive technologies to skip to the main content area. This means that devices such as screen readers do not have to read out the information in the header and navigation for each page.
Access keys have been added to the main navigation of the site to enable those of you browsing without a mouse to get around. Just hold down "Shift + Alt" (PC) or "Ctrl" (Mac) and the corresponding number:
